Qvevri Generation refers to either 8000-year wine-making wine-making technology that passed from generation to generation and is kept in our DNA.

We present the iconic endemic Georgian red grape variety of Saperavi that is farmed organically, using natural biodynamic technology. Made without chemical, thermal and mechanical processing, with traditional Kakhetian Qvevri technology that’s why you can discover tones of unique and distinctive aromas. Organic Saperavi has exclusive importance in Qvevri Generation.  

Tasting notes

Characterized by cherry and red berry fruit aromas, dried plums and tobacco tones. Full bodied and intense, extracted and muscular, high tannins and a long finish with hints of sweet spices. 

Ages very well and have unique taste gradually year to year.

Saperavi Qvevri Organic Character

A rare case where the biodynamic way of farming meets ancient Qvevri technology. The both major components of our DNA edition are met and presented in this wine.

Saperavi is a Georgian endemic red grape variety. “peri” (ფერი) in Georgian means color. The core of the name might be interpreted as colorful or colorizer. The Acidity level varies from 7.5 to 8.5 grams per liter and the sugar level reaches from 20 to 26% per liter. Saperavi is cultivated in large numbers which makes it the most widespread and mass produced red wine grape variety across Georgia.
