Mukuzani is the wine made with chosen high quality saperavi grapes from particular micro zone in Kakheti. It is a special high quality version of most widespread Saperavi in Georgia.
Saperavi is a Georgian endemic red grape variety. “peri” (ფერი) in Georgian means color. The core of the name might be interpreted as colorful or colorizer. The Acidity level varies from 7.5 to 8.5 grams per liter and the sugar level reaches from 20 to 26% per liter. Saperavi is cultivated in large numbers which makes it the most widespread and mass-produced red wine grape variety across Georgia. Geographically most of saperavi vineyards come from the Easternmost wine region Kakheti. Based on different micro zones and certain soil compositions different red wines are made on Saperavi foundation: Mukuzani; Kindzmarauli; Kotekhi; Kvareli; Akhamicrozonessheni.
