Tasting notes
The Qvevri technology ensures the intensity of flavors, tastes, and higher tannin concentration. Full-bodied, chalky tannins, long finish on quince, slightly creamy texture with honeycomb tones. With exotic aromas of White ripe fruits, lemon, orange zest, green apple, unripe peach, smoke, honey, and nutmeg. Contains sulfites. Ages very well and have unique taste gradually year to year.
Krakhuna Character
Krakhuna origins are also in western Georgia. Alongside with Tistska and Tsolikouri, it is also part of the Imeretian white grape family. The Acidity level varies from 7.5 to 8.5 grams per liter and the sugar level reaches from 21 to 23% per liter. Its strong body merged with jolly flavors creates a harmonious equilibrium for making quality European and Traditional technology wines as well as strong desert wines. The aging process helps wine open up its full potential and the quality is increased significantly. This progress is also reflected in its color which turns from yellowish to moregold-likee tones.
